Personality has become more and more obsessed with breaking their limits, making new records only to break them more often. In fact, the skylines of our cities have been described by those who have always been in power throughout history. Sometimes the churches have left their mark, followed by public institutions and in the last few decades, it is large commercial buildings that continue to stretch.

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has launched its plan to classify tall buildings, declaring Burj Khalifa (828 m.) The world's tallest building. These are the tallest buildings in the world

The building was opened in 2010 as part of a new development called Downtown Dubai. It is designed to be the core of development for mixed use. The decision to build the facility is based on the government's decision to diversify its oil-based economy, and for Dubai to gain international recognition. The building was originally called Burj Dubai but was renamed and honored by the governor of Abu Dhabi and the president of the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Abu Dhabi and the UAE government borrowed money from Dubai to pay off its debts. The building has broken many record records, including its being named the tallest building in the world.

Burj Khalifa was designed by Adrian Smith, of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, his company that built the Willis Tower and the One World Trade Center. Hyder Consulting has been appointed as the lead engineer for NORR Group Consultants International Limited appointed to oversee the construction of the project. The design is based on the construction of a mosque in the region, such as at the Great Mosque in Samaria. The Y-shaped floor geometry is designed to maximize accommodation and hotel. The central spine and wings are used to support the height of the structure. Although the design was based on Tower Palace III, the Burj Khalifa center has all the vertical strides except for the escalator stairs. The building also has a cover design designed to withstand Dubai's hot summer temperatures. It has 57 complete elevators and 8 escalators.

The building was erected after the demolition of Ajyad Castle, the 18th Ottoman capital on the top of a mountain overlooking the Grand Mosque. The destruction of a historic site in 2002 by the Saudi government sparked international outcry and a strong response from Turkey.
The site of this building is located across the piazza south from the main entrance (King Abdul-Aziz Gate) to the Mosjid al Haram mosque, located in the Kaaba. To accommodate ministers visiting the Kaaba, the Abraj Al-Bait Towers has two large prayer rooms (one for men, one for women) capable of accommodating more than 10,000 people.
